Day One Hundred and Four - Sun, Surf and Sails

Saturday, September 29th, 2007

Jersey Shore? Atlantic City? Sun, Surf and Sails? I know what you’re thinking…Yes I dislike the Jersey Shore, and Atlantic City is probably one of the dirtiest places on earth. No offense to anyone from Jersey, but I’ve been there three times, and everytime was a bad time.

However, this sweet shirt was produced in AC and I couldn’t be happier with the $1.98 purchase from Value Village. No I dont like Jersey, but I love this shirt. Pretty good printing quality too. The mast of the boat has a really nice halftone pattern!

Anyway, Great day. I’ve had a chance to see a lot of good friends, get my hair did, and make a shopping trip to Wegman’s.

Day One Hundred and Three - Lady Baby

Friday, September 28th, 2007

Happy last Friday in September! Today’s shirt is one of my favorite Tea and Crumpets, and it’s a ladies shirt! Yes I can squeeze in to a xl american apparel woman’s shirt and I am not afraid to admit it. This pattern was orginally supposed to be a straight forward houndstooth, but ended up evolving into a pixel-houndstooth. The printing mistake across the midsection is intentional. While printing it we decided to cut up the film and paste it back together and we got what I think is a unique approach to a classic pattern. I would have sported the white and blue one today, a little more manly and my fav…, but I never made one big enough to fit a man’s body.

Check out the white version here: T&C Houndstooth

Day One Hundred and Two - ¡MTAM¡

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

Today’s shirt is a old, and pretty unpopular shirt I made for my old band More Than A Monument. I think I made this pretty quickly because we ran out of shirts and we wanted more to sell. If you want one there might be more left in the old MTAM practice space, but I haven’t been there or played music there in a long time. After listening to those songs this morning that’s probably a good thing. Oh well, it was fun to be young and in a band.

Day One Hundred One - Wednesday?

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

Apparently I think it’s Thursday…Anyway, no I’m not really a fan of the band anymore, but found this shirt in the closet. I still think “Understanding in a car crash” is a great song, and I’m not really afraid to admit it! The shirt, like the band, hasn’t held up too well over time. I don’t even really think I’ve worn or washed it that many times, and the ink is totally cracked. Oh well… That’s all for today. Maybe on Thursday I’ll wear a Wednesday shirt.

One Hundred Days of Different Shirts!

Day 100 of 365! It’s kind of hard to believe that I’ve been doing this so long and been pretty successful at it. I feel like lately I’ve kind of been slacking on posts, and slacking at really communicating what this blog is all about, so what better day than day 100 to kinda reflect and rediscover this blog.

Since June 18, 2007 this blog has raised a couple hundred dollars for Alzheimer’s research. I’m very thankful for everyone who has donated through my, sometimes silly, blog. Over the next 265 days I don’t want to forget about the reason I started this thing. I’m still really amazed by the amount of generous people who have donated t-shirts, and shared their stories with me. Thank You!

Now for today’s shirt! Another fine purchase from Gentei. This shirt is made by Calee, a Japanese streetwear brand. I don’t know much more about the brand besides that really. I like the contrast sleeves with the screenprinted stars. I don’t know that I actually own a shirt with just printed sleeves. Bonus! Anyway, I figured this shirt was good for the Day 100 Celebration. For some reason I feel like I should be shooting off fire works!

And now for a day 100 Music Video!
