I’ll keep it brief today…As you can see from the look on my face we have a lot of cleaning to do today. The party was amazing! Thanks to everyone for coming! Can’t wait until next year.
So Today is the big day. Every year Chris and I throw a pretty large and in charge holiday party at our house. After cleaning last night, and decorating today, we are finally ready to get down to business…Hopefully the weather holds off…It’s supposed to sleet/snow in Bmore tonight!
This old Further Seems Forever black t-shirt will suit as a nice under shirt tonight!
Contrary to popular belief I will not be enrolling in a rehab program (Turns out my love for Macs really isn’t a problem), however Love & Tug, a new T-Shirt label based out of the UK, wants you to know that the whole world embraces Rehab. From Alcohol to Drugs, Amy Winehouse to Ms. Lohan, Rehab has become the hot new accessory for the rich and famous. My picture reenacts the typical picture of the downward spiral posted in the pages of Star, US Weekly , and people.
Love & Tug contacted me last week, and next thing I know I received today’s shirt from them via Royal Mail ( I love receiving Royal Mail). This particular shirt couldn’t be more relevant, and I wouldn’t be surprised if teens everywhere sport these rehab shirts. I must say that I was quite fond of their “Kate Moss” shirt with the yellow triangle, and some of their other more abstract Tees. Love & Tug is all about the pop-culture, and they are doing a good job of presenting tasteful items for Men & Women of the world to wear. Check them out Love & Tug
Just a normal morning around here…Throwing my Pantone swatches and my white gold mighty mouse in your face…Ok,ok, I’m no design gangsta, but if designers were gangsta, a lot of people would be getting cut…paper cut.
Today’s long sleeve T comes from Jan Ruby (the Mother of Rachael of Tilt Studio). Jan is a very accomplished artist, professor, and designer. For many years she ran the small studio, Graphic Details, and this was one of their promotional T-Shirts. I must say the graphic is well executed, the patterns in the Xacto knife and pencil are awesome. And the old apple mouse looks like a primitive form of a iPod. Thanks for letting me wear a little piece of design history!
This old rag comes from my highschool days! The baseball factory was some evaluation I had to pay money to go to, only for them to tell me, in a nice way, that I wasn’t good enough to play baseball at any colleges…Haha, I should have begged my parents to go to art camp or something. Anyway, I backed up their evaluation by playing two years of junior college baseball. It was all fun whiile it lasted, but I’m glad I gave it up so I could focus on what I really love, design.
Hope to see some of you tonight at the Designer’s Mix & Mingle at the Red Maple.
